The Leighton Township Office accepts passport applications on behalf of the U.S. Department of State during regular business hours and by special arrangement.

We can also take your Passport Photos for $10.00.

Passport applications may be obtained at the township hall or by visiting www.travel.state.gov. To obtain additional information, you can call 616-891-8238.

Passport Information

Persons interested in applying for a U.S. Passport at the Leighton Township Office must appear in person and bring the following items:

• APPLICATION FORM – which can be downloaded from the Internet at www.travel.state.gov or completed in the Leighton Township Office.

• EVIDENCE OF CITIZENSHIP – such as a certified birth certificate or naturalization papers.

• EVIDENCE OF IDENTITY – such as a driver’s license.

• Two (2) identical PHOTOGRAPHS taken within the past 6 months that meet the U.S. Department of State specifications.

PASSPORT FEES PAYABLE TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE:

• Age 16 and over – Routine Service Passport Book                               $75
• Age 16 and over – Routine Service Passport Card                               $20
• Under age 16     – Routine Service Passport Book                               $60
• Under age 16     – Routine Service Passport Card                               $10

Additional fees apply for expedited service and overnight delivery.

Execution Fee per passport application                         $25

Passport photos are available for $10.00.

NOTE:  A passport issued to anyone age 16 and over is valid for 10 years.
A passport issued to anyone under age 16 is valid for 5years.

U.S. Passport Applications for Children under Age 16 REQUIRE BOTH PARENTS CONSENT.
